9w6d update

As you can tell by the above picture, I am extremely nauseous. The nausea started at 6w1d, and I am exhausted. Ok, first of all, let me say that the term morning sickness is misleading. I'm having ALL day and night sickness. This, by far, has been the hardest on my physically. I pant when I breathe. My heart rate has been hovering around 51 bpm when my DH takes it at home (my usual heart rate is around 60). However, my pulse is still strong. My blood pressure has been hovering around 110/70.

I'm supposed to be eating 2200 calories a day, but I'm lucky to get at least 500 calories. I've tried all the typical remedies, including crackers and ginger ale. Nothing helps. My OB prescribed me Zofran, but I'm hesitant to take it as it's a Class B drug. I'm on Neevo, a prescription prenatal vitamin. I'm also on Folgard (for the MTHFR). And DHA, which is over-the-counter. And I'm still on baby aspirin.

I'm experiencing new things with my body. The first thing that I noticed, during my 2WW, is sore boobs. I'm 9w6d today, and they're still very sore and they're, um, a bit bigger. lol I've also been urinating quite often. I've been having round ligament pains and mild cramping every now and then. I'm bloated most of the time. I'm irregular, despite trying to eat foods high in fiber. I have insomnia, only getting about 4 hours of sleep.

CCRM is in the process of weaning me off my meds. As of yesterday, I'm down to one Vivelle patch every other day and 1 Prometrium suppository daily. I go in for another blood work this Thursday. Perhaps when I'm off these meds, my nausea will subside.

Ah Linda, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I'm sure that makes it near impossible to enjoy the pg. Supposedly this all goes away in the 2nd tri, but hoping sooner for you. Hugs

I've been wondering if your morning sickness has taken over things for the time being - hopefully it will magically disappear on the first day of your 2nd trimester. Hang in there!

Linda, I'm sooo mad at you!! I follow your blog and that's all I am on (as I'm not expecting or ttc). I've been whining to my cousin daily for the past week because I thought something bad happened. Grrr.

OK, moving on from my rant on the pregnant lady (bet u never expected that. lol)... I realllly hope you feel better soon. I want you to enjoy all of the good stuff about this pregnancy.

Keep us updated on your status. We really do care and wanna make sure you're okay. :-)

Have a good nite/morning.

Try the motion sickness wrist bands, they have little plastic buttons to push on your pressure points on your wrists to help the nausea. It doesn't help 100% but it doesn't hurt! I hope it gets better soon.

Can you believe you are 9+ weeks? That just insane! I bet it's unbelieveable ... I'm sorry you're not feeling well enough to get in your calories ... but I'm glad you're not feeling well as it's always a good indication that baby is doing well!! (or at least that's what I subscribe to)

So happy to hear from you.

Take it easy ok?

Hi Linda, I've been thinking about you and hoping all is well. The constant nausea does not sound like fun and I hope that it starts to recede. Glad all else is progressing. Mind yourself elliej xxx

Thanks for the update--around months 3 and 4 you'll get narcoleptic to catch up on sleep, I promise! By then hopefully the nausea will have lessened. (((Hugs!))) As bad as it seems now, it's all worth it, but you know that. :o)

Oh Linda, I feel your pain. I had all day sickness for the first 17 weeks! I was afraid it would never go away and it was terrible. I had to go off my prenatals because they made it worse, and I drank a lot of ensures to try to keep my calories up. I will say a prayer that the morning sickness does not last as long for you and that you can start enjoying your pregnancy soon. Hang in there. I know it's hard, but in the end, it will be worth it. xo

Take the zofran! Take it!!!!!! I seriously feel your pain... I was where you are for the1st 18 weeks. Zofran (which I only got at 15w) was the only thing that made me be able to remotely function. The prenatals made me puke, food made me puke... thinking about puking made me puke... and then there's the whole I feel like I got hit by a semi. That's fun, too. Btw, the sickness had nothing to do w/ the prometrium/ vivelle / estrace... wishful thinking tho.
*hugs*... it sucks. It *really* sucks. We should all get a 'easy pregnancy' hall pass or something, huh?!

I'm so sorry about your nausea, Linda. I'm so new to the whole blog thing but have followed your story on IVFC. It's so great to hear about success with a translocation. I know you're hesitant to take the Zofran, but can you try any natural remedies...my acupuncturist told me ginger lozenges were very good for nausea...and peppermint too. I hope it lets up soon!
